- Kadai or Pan
Ingredients
- 1/4 kg Chicken
- 2 Large Onions
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Crushed Ginger Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- Handful of Curry Leaves
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 teaspoon Pepper Powder
- Salt to taste
- Sufficient oil for frying
Instructions
1. In a cooker, add chicken along with salt, turmeric powder, and chili powder. Pressure cook for two whistles and shred the chicken.
2. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds, chopped onions, and sauté well. Then add crushed ginger-garlic and sauté until the raw smell goes away.
3. Now add shredded chicken and mix well. Then add coriander powder, garam masala, and pepper powder. Mix everything thoroughly.
4. Cook for a few minutes until the masalas are well combined with the chicken. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool down.
5. In a mixing bowl, take wheat flour, egg, and salt. Knead it into a soft dough.
6. Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into thin discs.
7. Place a portion of the chicken mixture on one half of the disc and fold it into a semi-circle.
8. Seal the edges properly and deep fry the rolls until they turn golden brown.
9. Once fried, remove the rolls from the oil and place them on tissue paper to drain excess oil.
10. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney of your choice. Enjoy your delicious Chicken Rolls!
